YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED

How can I tell if it’s time to replace my tires?
You can tell that it is time to replace your tires based on their level of wear. If your tires have less than 1.6 millimetres of tread left, you should consider purchasing a new set of tires. Tires with cracks or holes should also be replaced because they could fail or blow out if used for much longer.

If you need help knowing when it’s time to replace your tires, give us a call. Mobile Tire’s technicians can help you figure out whether you need a new set of tires. You can trust that our staff will provide honest and reliable advice. We will not try to sell you something that you don’t need.
Are you delivering purely mobile service?
Yes, we are! Mobile Tire offers tire repair and change services anywhere in the Greater Toronto Area. Whether you want us to change your tire in your driveway, at your workplace, or in the parking lot, we will do it. You just need to contact us to schedule your appointment with our next availability.
What is included in a tire change?
Our technicians will bring all of the equipment—even your new tires!—to your location. We will change your old tires out for the new ones, check the air pressure levels, ensure that they are balanced and torqued to the manufacturers specification. This detailed service is for your safety and peace of mind. We can also dispose of your old tires if you prefer.
Can I put old tires on new rims?
Yes, you can put new tires on old rims, but in most cases you will need a tire machine and a wheel balancer to do so. Our team has that! We will perform on and off rim tire changes on-site at your location of choice within our service area. Contact us today to learn more about how and when we can install your new tires on your rims.
What is the difference between the various types of tires?
Although all-season tires are called “all seasons,” they’re really not. You’ll notice a big difference between your all-season tires and winter tires once it snows. Winter tires are designed with special tread to give you extra traction in snowy and icy conditions. If you want safety and peace of mind this winter, we recommend buying and having us install a set of winter tires on your vehicle.
Are tire repairs permanent?
Tires with a leak or a hole from a nail or sharp object are great candidates for repair. Our technicians will safely patch/plug a puncture in your tire and extend its lifespan. This means that you don’t have to buy a new tire before you really need to.

It may be necessary to replace your tire depending on the extent of the damage. Give us a call. Our technicians will advise you whether a repair or replacement is needed.
